using your personal vehicle as tax deduction?

in filing taxes i want to use my leased suv ..in im tubro tax but im confused i dont own a business and did not use this vehicle to deliver goods or anything like that for work but did drive it to and from work and used much gas does it qualify to go under deductions even though it wasnt used for my own business

    There is no tax deduction for driving back and forth to work regardless of how far that drive may be.

    No. This does not qualify. Driving from home to work or from work to home is commuting and no deductions are allowed for commuting.

    Nope…it does not qualify for a tax deduction in the U.S. This is a good way to get an audit from the IRS.

    No, you can’t use your personal vehicle as a tax deduction. Commuting to and from work does not qualify for using it as a tax deduction. Doing so is cheating and, if caught, you could face significant fines and interest.

    Driving to and from work is called commuting expense and is never deductible, even if it WAS your own business.
